The first day of SHOT 2018 is in the books. This post serves as a recap of the interesting products I came across at the show. In general, 2018’s edition features fewer new products than previous shows, but there still were some standouts today. American Tactical Imports ATI has just added the short-barreled rifle kits for their 9mm MP-40 replicas…. Read more »

Setting aside over two years of separation and controversy, the suppressor industry’s largest manufacturer and its biggest distributor are finally back together and SilencerCo’s products will once… Read more »

SHOT Show 2018: YHM’s New Resonator Suppressor

Okay, so SHOT Show may not have officially begun quite yet, but the news is already rolling in. You may recall that last year, I published a review of the Yankee Hill Machine’s 5.56mm Turbo suppressor. In that article, I offered glowing feedback for YHM’s way-better-than-it-should-be offering. I was simply blown away that a sub-$400 (street) silencer could put up… Read more »

Last week, 2017 came to a close as the world collectively welcomed the New Year. At the same time, Modern Rifleman was wrapping up its fourth quarter and, coincidentally, its fourth calendar year. Since the site’s founding in April 2013, Modern Rifleman has grown from a small, obscure firearm blog with an uncertain future to modestly-successful, established source of information… Read more »

If, like me, you’re a fan of roller-delayed firearms, there’s reason to be very excited. In an apparent confirmation of industry rumors, Palmetto State Armory revealed Tuesday night on AR15.com that they intend to unveil a new line of MP5-style pistols and rifles at SHOT Show later this month. There are plenty of interesting angles to this announcement, not the… Read more »

Heckler & Koch Lowers Prices on Popular Handguns

If there’s one thing that is absolutely true about European firearms, it is that Heckler & Koch handguns are phenomenal. They’re supremely well made. You may find some guns that approach HKs in terms of overall quality, but very few beat them. The other thing to know about them is that aside from the relatively new VP9 and VP40 series… Read more »

The full specs are below: CALIBER:… Read more »

Confirmed: Wolf 9x39mm Subsonic Ammo is Coming to the US

For years, we’ve heard rumors that Wolf and/or their Russian suppliers were working on subsonic rifle ammunition for the US market. Considering the price of brass-cased .300 Blackout here in the US, the speculation isn’t all that surprising. Shooters here have been clamoring for cheaper options to help scratch their suppressed-shooting itch. While the folks across the Atlantic have been… Read more »
